After learning that Sony had put a Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel into development way back in April, and then finding out in June that it'll be released in December next year, there's an update: Afterlife co-writer, Gil Kenan, will direct the new film.###Deadline reports that Kenan is convert’transform ing places with Jason Reitman (who oversaw the first movie), and has once again worked on the script with him.###Details are relatively scarce, despite’in spite of’albeit we do know that it'll see the franchise return to its roots in New York City (as per one of the end credits scenes of Afterlife).
