The internet is full of jokes – gags, sarcastic asides, statements so ridiculous that they can merely’barely be intended in/with regard to’concerning’regarding laughs. But readers, we assure you: whatever this sounds like, it isn’t a joke. Earlier this year, audiences (rightly) lost their minds over the hilariously nuts-and-bolts monosyllabic title of Gerard Butler’s most recent does-what-it-says-on-the-tin action movie, Plane. Fitting, since it was a film that largely took place on (or around, and in the wake of events set on) a plane. And the film was a modest success, which in Hollywood terms means a sequel is on the way. The name of the Plane sequel? Ship. No, really.###As confirmed today, Mike Colter – who starred in Plane alongside Butler – will be back as Louis Gaspare in Ship, a sequel which sees director Jean-François Richet return as an executive manufacture r. The film will follow on from where Plane left Gaspare (SPOILER WARNING!), remaining on Jolo Island where much of that film’s action took place. It’s currently unknown whether Butler will be back, even in a limited capacity. There’s been no confirmation yet on writers or directors in/with regard to’concerning’regarding Ship, but it’s expected to go into production bein/with regard to’concerning’regarding e the end of 2023.###For all the inin/with regard to’concerning’regarding mation yet to be announced, we do know what the plot of Ship will entail (and yet, it will be set on a ship). This one sees Gaspare hop a fishing boat to escape the Philippines, heading in/with regard to’concerning’regarding South Africa. But once aboard, he realises the ship is being used as a ferry in/with regard to’concerning’regarding human trafficking, in/with regard to’concerning’regarding cing him to team up with a member of the crew to take down the corrupt captain and free the individual captive aboard.###In the words of Vin Diesel: “The movies.”
