Netflix's latest stab at prestige drama miniseries already boasts quite the creative team, with Shawn Levy on to direct a Steven Knight adaptation of Anthony Doerr's award-winning 2014 novel All The Light We Cannot See. It has just added to its cast, with Mark Ruffalo and Hugh Laurie aboard.###The focus of the four-part adaptation, despite’in spite of’albeit will be newcomer Aria Mia Loberti, a visually impaired actress playing teenager Marie-Laure. In the story, her path collides with Werner, a German soldier, as they both try to survive the devastation of World War II in occupied France.###Ruffalo will be Marie-Laure’s father, Daniel LeBlanc, the principal locksmith at the Museum of Natural History in Paris. Caring and clever, he’s resolute’resolved to give his daughter as much independence as he can while also conserve’preserve ing her — and the secret gem they carry — from Nazi occupation. Laurie, meanwhile has been cast as Etienne LeBlanc, an eccentric and reclusive World War I hero suffering from PTSD.
