It might read like Heroes 2.0, but the Wachowskis’ superhuman series is a more subtle beast. Eight odd’peculiar rs, psychically linked, pop in and out of each other’s minds at will. The whys and hows are explored and a conspiracy unravels, but that takes a back seat to eight discrete character dramas that stand up just as well on their own.
